The LIFE PLUTO Project organizes a conference in Teramo, from 13th to 15th October 2016, about the endangered large carnivores and scavenger birds of prey in Europe

Experts from all over Europe will meet in Teramo in the conference hall of the Veterinary Medicine University Department to take stock of the status of many rare and endangered animal species.

The conference, organized by the Gran Sasso-Laga Park with the support of the Veterinary Medicine Department of the University of Teramo, offers a rich and interesting program divided into two sessions: the first one is dedicated to the nature/conservation aspects, and it offers an overview of the status of different large carnivores and scavenger birds of prey on a european level, of the most serious risks threatening them and of the projects carried out to protect them; the second session mainly regards the technical/veterinary aspects, and it deals with the illegal use of poison, the lead poisoning, the electrocution, the role of the feeding stations etc.
The participation is free of charge, but it is necessary to register within October 6th, 2016. Simultaneous interpretation service will be offered.
